€40,000 raised in 2011 event
..and winner announced of Sovereign Ski Holiday
Finally the last leg has been completed and we have received all the fundraising donations and sponsorships, they have been lodged and paid to the two charities. This year you have raised €40,000 for Kathleen’s Kids of Makondo in Uganda and Barretstown. The two charities are absolutely thrilled, as you know it is extremely difficult to raise money in today’s economic climate, however you have raised a fantastic amount. Each charity will receive €20,000 each to go to support their worthy causes.
We would also like to congratulate Jody Walshe who won the Sovereign Ski, Luxury Ski Chalets Holiday (www.sovereignski.com), for the participant who individually raised the most money. Jody raised €5,280 for the two charities, we would like to congratulate him particularly as he has supported the event over the years. Thanks again to Sovereign Ski Luxury Ski Chalets for providing the fantastic holiday.
Finally the Sporting Proud Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for being so generous and for supporting and participating in the Sporting Proud 2011 event. Without your support we wouldn’t have an event or be in the position to help so many worthwhile charities.
We intend to do the event again in 2012 and hope you will be in the position to join us again.
